Etrade versus Just2Trade: Comparison Summary
Just2Trade (Just2Trade Review)
easily beats Etrade (Etrade Review)
when comparing trading costs on stocks and ETFs: $2.50 per trade versus Etrade's $9.99 per trade. Just2Trade, however, has a
$0.003 per share surcharge on extended hours trading. There are no surcharges on stocks under $1 and large orders at either
company as well as no inactivity or maintenance fees.
Etrade is much better than Just2Trade in trading tools, banking services, selection of invetsment products and customer service.
When comparing IRA accounts, Etrade is again a winner: Just2Trade charges IRA setup and annual IRA fee. Etrade did not, however, made it into our
Best IRA Companies list.
Just2Trade would only work well for very active, experienced investors who trade a lot. The firm actually requires customers to
have 2 years of trading experience before opening an account. Etrade would be our suggestion for an IRA account and
for "buy-and-hold" investors.
There are also other highly rated brokerage firms to consider, with low commissions and excellent customer service, like
TradeKing (TradeKing Review) and
OptionsHouse (OptionsHouse reviews).
