Zecco vs Sogotrade: Comparison Summary

Sogotrade (Sogotrade Review) and Zecco (Zecco Review) offer some of the best commissions on stocks, ETFs, mutual funds and options in the industry. Both companies don't have account maintenance and inactivity fees.

Sogotrade charges additional 0.5% of the principal value on stocks under $1 (penny stocks) and does not offer extended hours trading for regular accounts. The firm also charges $30 annual IRA fee. With Sogotrade customers cannot invest in CDs and bonds. The company has terrible customer service and very slow account opening process.

With Zecco, there is $2 per trade surcharge on penny stocks. The company provides free dividend reinvestment and streaming quotes, access to Forex and a vibrant online investor community, where users could ask questions, learn from each other, and follow what other, more advanced traders are doing. Zecco is one of our the recommended brokers for novice investors, but in 2012 did not make it into our list of Best Investment Firms. One could open account with Zecco with no money down in as little as 10 minutes!

The choice between these two online brokerage firms is clear - definitely Zecco. We recommend it to all investors.
