What Banks Does Webull Accept? Does Webull Use Plaid?

Webull Supported Banks

Webull supports bank-account connections from most U.S. financial institutions. Most accounts can be linked through Webull’s real-time verification system, which uses Plaid and Yodlee. If a financial institution is not available through real-time verification, customers can usually connect it manually using micro-deposit verification, provided the account supports ACH transfers.

In addition, Webull account holders can wire money into their brokerage accounts from bank accounts held in their own names. Domestic and international wire transfers are supported, but third-party wires generally are not accepted.

Does Webull Use Plaid?

Plaid is a third-party service that securely links customers’ financial information with apps such as Webull. Plaid is the most popular company of its kind, serving more than 9,000 apps and services and connecting with more than 12,000 financial institutions in 17 countries.

Webull customers use Plaid or Yodlee to link their personal bank accounts to their Webull brokerage accounts, making money transfers faster and more convenient. Once the accounts are linked, users can initiate ACH deposits immediately. ACH deposits generally take several business days to settle, although Instant Buying Power may allow eligible customers to trade with some of the money sooner.

Webull Supported Banks List (Plaid)

Plaid supports a long list of financial institutions, although not every bank is available through its real-time connection system.

Supported institutions include major names such as Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, U.S. Bank, and USAA. Numerous smaller banks and credit unions are also included.

Some smaller financial institutions may not appear among the initial options, but you can search for them using Plaid’s built-in search tool.

Once you locate your bank through Plaid’s connection tool, follow the prompts to sign in and select the account you want to link. Depending on the institution, you may be redirected to your bank’s secure sign-in page.

What Happens When Your Bank is Not Listed?

Sometimes, your bank will not be listed in the real-time verification tool, but that does not necessarily mean the bank is unsupported by Webull. You may be able to establish an ACH connection using the micro-deposit verification method.

To create the link manually, enter your bank account type, routing number, and account number in Webull’s micro-deposit form. Webull will send two small deposits to the bank account, which generally appear within one to two business days.

When the micro-deposits arrive, enter the two deposit amounts in Webull in the order in which they were received. Once the amounts are verified, your bank account will be linked to Webull.
