Cryptocurrencies at Webull

Cryptocurrencies at Webull
Unlike Webull Pay app, Webull does not offer direct trading in cryptocurrencies. It does, however, offer trading in ETFs, and some of these hold cryptocurrencies. These funds are an indirect way of investing in digital coins.
Finding crypto ETFs at Webull is a breeze, thanks to the broker’s user-friendly mobile app. Log in and tap on the Markets button in the main menu at the bottom of the screen. On the ETFs hub, scroll down to the section on Category ETFs. Here, there is a tile for Crypto funds. Tap on this.
Now you'll have the list of crypto ETFs available on the Webull platform. The list includes every crypto ETF trading on the U.S. exchanges; it can be sorted by several criteria, including volume and total assets.
In the list of results, tap on the fund you’re interested in to pull up its profile. Here, it’s possible to add a fund to a watchlist that syncs with other trading platforms at Webull, including the broker’s web-browser platform and desktop program.
Example of a Crypto ETF
During our investigation, we found BTF, the CoinShares Bitcoin and Ether Strategy Fund. This ETF invests in futures contracts on Bitcoin and Ethereum. Although the portfolio’s assets are technically derivatives, the contracts closely follow the prices of the two targeted cryptocurrencies.
Besides the crypto futures ETFs, there are also funds at Webull that hold cryptos themselves. For example, we found ETHA, the iShares Ethereum Trust. This fund is composed of 100% Ethereum.
Cryptocurrencies at Webull Pay
If you would rather skip the ETFs altogether, you could head to Webull Pay, an affiliated but
separate company, and trade cryptocurrencies directly. Webull Pay has 70
coins available for trading right now (residents of New York have 68). A discrete Webull Pay account is required to trade these digital coins directly (a standard brokerage account at Webull won’t work).
With the Webull Pay account open, you’ll get a website and mobile app with pre-installed crypto watchlists. One is for tradable coins, and another is for non-tradable coins. Although coins on the second list can’t be traded, their profiles do have news articles and charts.
Here are some tradable coins:

- Polkadot (DOT)
And here are some that are not tradable:
- Stellar (XLM)
- Zeebu (ZBU)

Charting and Order Entry
ETFs can be traded at Webull with one of several advanced order tickets. These are available on three platforms (mobile, desktop, and web); combined, they offer a lot of advanced order types, including:
The order ticket for Webull Pay appears on the broker’s mobile app and website, both of which are separate from the regular Webull platforms. Crypto trades have a simpler order form. Trade choices are:
- Market
- Limit
- Stop limit
- Recurring
Although Webull Pay’s software offers crypto charting, Webull has better charts on its web-browser platform, and cryptos can be charted on it.
Fees and Minimums
Neither Webull nor Webull Pay charges any account fees; neither broker has an account minimum. There are also no commissions at either brokerage firm, so a good value can be obtained with any Webull account.
There are spreads on trades, though, and these compensate Webull. Crypto trades always have a 1% spread on either side of the trade, while spreads on ETFs vary by market conditions and the specific ETF traded.
