Moomoo Debit Card, Checking & Cash Management in 2026

Cash Management at Moomoo

Key findings:

• Moomoo does not offer a debit card, credit card, or checkwriting.

• Moomoo does have an FDIC-sweep program with a high APY.

• There are no money market mutual funds at moomoo.

Moomoo does not specialize in cash management, and it really shows in the list of available options moomoo clients have for their idle cash.

Banking Features at Moomoo

A brokerage account at moomoo is intended for securities trading. The company does not offer its customers a debit card or a checkbook. It does not have a credit card. There is no premium service to enable these features.

The one feature moomoo does offer is an FDIC sweep. Uninvested cash in a brokerage account is automatically moved to program banks. Here, the idle cash balances earn government protection and a 3.35% APY right now.

While the cash technically remains with the program banks, it can be used for trading at any time. The cash can also be withdrawn directly from the moomoo platform. As already noted, it is not possible to withdraw a cash deposit via debit card or check.

Because moomoo uses multiple banks in its FDIC sweep, there is a maximum insurance level of $1 million. This is 4 times the normal limit. Banks that moomoo partners with include Bank United and East West Bank.

Moomoo Promotion

Moomoo Bonus APY

New customers who have never funded a brokerage account at moomoo are eligible for a substantial increase in the normal APY. This special promo results in an interest rate of 8.1% APY, which is enormous. The interest-rate boost only lasts 3 months, though. It is also valid only on the first $20,000 on deposit.
