Moomoo Trading Hours: Extended After Hours & Pre Market in 2026

Extended Hours at Moomoo
Traders at Moomoo can trade U.S.-listed securities during the regular market session, which runs every weekday (except holidays) from 9:30 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST.
Moomoo also provides access to a pre-market trading session for U.S. securities, which takes place from 4:00 AM until the opening bell. After-hours trading is available too, from the market close until 8:00 PM. This provides a total of 16 hours of trading time.
There are no extra fees for extended-hours trades, which is great for traders who are budget-conscious. And since Moomoo already charges no commissions for day-session trades, early-morning or late-night trades are also free of charge.

24 Hour (Overnight) Trading at Moomoo
Moomoo offers 24/5 trading for many U.S. stocks and ETFs. You can find eligible stocks by checking for the "24H"
icon on the stock details page and place orders by selecting "24 Hour Trading" in the session field on
the trade screen.
Placing Extended-Hours Trades on Moomoo
You can place orders during both the regular market session and extended hours using Moomoo’s mobile app or desktop platform. However, neither platform lets you specify a trade for just the pre-market or after-hours session.
On the desktop platform, the integrated order ticket includes a drop-down menu for extended hours. There are two options: allowed and not allowed. If you select "allowed," the order will execute during extended hours.
On the mobile app, the default order ticket is Pro. However, this ticket does not have an extended-hours option. At the top of the order ticket, there’s a drop-down for Lite or Pro. Choose Lite to use a simpler order ticket, which does include a drop-down menu for extended hours (look for the "Session" line). Select "RTH+Pre/Post-Mkt" to make your order eligible for extended-hours trading.
Please note that options can only be traded during regular hours, so extended-hours trades are not available for options.
Extended Hours for Hong Kong Stocks
In addition to U.S. securities, Moomoo offers access to some Chinese securities markets. Stocks listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange have both pre-market and after-hours trading available at Moomoo.
The regular day session for Hong Kong stocks runs from 9:30 AM until 12:00 noon (local time), followed by a one-hour lunch break. The market reopens at 1:00 PM and closes at 4:00 PM.
For 30 minutes before the opening bell, Moomoo customers can trade under certain conditions. From 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM, they can submit, modify, and cancel auction orders. From 9:15 AM to 9:20 AM, at-auction orders can be placed. A random match period follows from 9:20 AM to 9:22 AM.
After the closing bell, there’s a 9-minute trading session from 4:01 PM to 4:10 PM. Specific rules apply for orders to be accepted during these times.
Paper Trading in Extended Hours
Although Moomoo provides a demo mode for simulated trading, trades in this mode can only be executed during normal market hours.
