Extended-Hours Trading at Webull
In addition to the regular day session, which runs from 9:30 am, New York time, to 4:00 pm, Webull
offers both pre-market and after-hours trading. The broker’s pre-market period is from 4:00 am until
the opening bell at 9:30. The after-hours session is from the closing bell at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In total, trading is possible for 16 hours. This is the longest trading session of any online discount broker we know of.
Even better, Webull imposes no surcharges on extended-hours trades. Because it charges no commissions on equity or options trades, these will be free of any fees whenever trades execute, except for regulatory and exchange fees. Generally speaking, option contracts are not eligible for extended-hours trading, so orders for these will execute during the regular day session.

Specifying Extended Hours at Webull
It’s possible to specify extended hours on one of Webull’s trade tickets. On the desktop platform, the “Order Entry” ticket has an extended-hours menu. Select yes to allow the order to execute during either the pre-market or after-hours session. Select no to confine the order to the regular day session.
In order to enable this feature, the strategy on the order form must be set to single. Other strategies will disable this feature.
Extended hours can be set up globally on the desktop platform (look on the Trade tab in the settings menu).
On the mobile app, the default trading hours can be set to either the day session or day session plus extended hours. It is not possible to specify just morning or evening session.
To choose one of the two, open the mobile app and go to the equity trade ticket. Tap on the settings icon (represented by a nut) in the upper-right corner. Choose the “Classic” layout and scroll down to the settings. Near the bottom, it’s possible to turn on extended-hours trading.
A chart on any Webull platform can be set to display price action in the regular day session only or the day session plus extended hours. Just go into the chart settings and find the check box for extended hours. The settings menu on the mobile app and browser platform will be found with the same nut icon. On the desktop platform, settings are in the right-click menu.

When placed into demo mode, Webull’s trading platforms have order tickets with drop-down menus for extended hours. Select no or yes to make your preference. These are simulated trades, not real trades, and they are a good way to practice extended-hours trading.
Crypto Extended Hours at Webull
The cryptocurrency market is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Webull customers can trade digital currencies around the clock, day and night, weekdays and weekends, so there are no extended hours to speak of.
Webull does suspend crypto trading each day from 5:30 pm, Eastern Standard Time, until 6:30 pm. This one-hour break is for account reconciliation and routine software maintenance.
