Thinkorswim Fees
Thinkorswim is free to use. There are no fees of any kind to use Thinkorswim in mobile, desktop, or web-browser format. There are no fees to use Thinkorswim in live or simulated mode.
Schwab does not charge anything for real-time data on Thinkorswim. This great policy includes Level II quotes, time & sales data, quotes on futures and futures options, forex feeds, and all other numbers that appear for equities and equity options. News articles are also free, and of course, there are no fees for any of the trading and research tools.
In addition to this great no-fee policy, Schwab imposes no account minimums or trading requirements to use Thinkorswim in any version. There is no minimum account value and no monthly minimum trade volume to gain access to the platform. An account with zero balance can log in and try the program in live or practice mode.
It’s also free to log into Schwab’s website and go through the many materials on Thinkorswim education. These resources can be found under the Learn tab on the website.
Although there are neither fees nor account requirements to trade on Thinkorswim, Schwab does require an actual account to be opened. This account will come with no fees and no minimum deposit requirement, further adding to the great value here.
