Chase Brokerage Overview
One of the newer online brokerages competing for your business is Chase’s “J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing”. They are pitching their platform as an easy, smart, comparatively low-cost way to invest and trade. Their platform falls somewhat in the middle range of all the competition in terms of functionality and costs; however the main selling point that they’re hoping could really set them apart from the rest is their Portfolio Builder Tool.
Platform Usability
Chase makes it easy for users to open and manage their brokerage account through either the Chase website or their trading app. They offer personal accounts as well as Traditional and Roth IRA accounts, all of which allow you to buy and sell thousands of stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and bonds.
Educational Tools
The Chase platform includes a Learning & Insights section devoted to investor education. It includes an “investor 101” section to explain industry jargon and investing basics to beginners as well as a wealth of articles and market insights that explain different investing strategies and offer advice on how to plan for your financial future. This educational section goes hand-in-hand with Chase’s customized Portfolio Builder tool that we explain next.
