Applying for Crypto Privileges
To enable crypto trading on your Webull account, you’ll need to complete a few simple steps. Don’t worry; it’s quick and easy.
- First, update the Webull mobile app to the latest version
- Second, tap on the icon with the horns (it’s the middle icon in the bottom row)
- Next, tap on the icon labeled More
- Finally, tap on the Crypto Trading icon
Follow the instructions, and you’ll be enrolled in cryptocurrency trading. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.
How to Buy Crypto on Webull?
Once you’ve enabled crypto trading, you can start placing trades. Note that Webull doesn’t allow crypto trading in practice mode. While there’s a paper trading button on the desktop platform, it only works for stocks and ETFs.
During our testing, we were able to place crypto trades on Webull’s mobile app, browser, and desktop platforms. Research tools are available on all three platforms.
If you’re using an older version of the Webull mobile app, you won’t be able to trade crypto. Make sure to update to the latest version.
Webull’s order ticket for cryptocurrencies supports both limit and market orders. Market orders are set to immediate or cancel, while limit orders are day orders. You can specify the number of coins or the dollar amount, and both can be entered as fractions.
Crypto Research
Webull’s platforms offer limited research tools. There’s no currency screener (since there are only 4 assets), but the broker provides plenty of news articles. For Bitcoin, we found several articles published in the last 5 hours.
To view profiles for digital currencies, enter a ticker symbol (BTC, BCH, ETH, or LTC) or the currency name in the search field on any platform. You can also add a currency to a watchlist by clicking the star on its profile. This saves the currency for easy access later.
Key stats, like 52-week low and previous close, are displayed on each currency’s profile.
The Webull mobile app includes a comment section on currency profiles. Here, you can see posts from other users and their trades. You can also set up alerts for cryptocurrencies.

Charting Digital Currencies
Webull allows you to analyze cryptocurrency price action using drawing tools and technical studies. The mobile app lets you display two currencies side by side. On the desktop and browser platforms, you can add a currency to a watchlist or set up an alert by right-clicking on its chart and selecting the appropriate option.
Webull Crypto Risks
Webull partners with Apex Crypto to offer cryptocurrency trading. Apex Crypto is not a member of FINRA. Cryptocurrencies are not considered securities or bank products, so they aren’t insured by the FDIC or SIPC. This means trading cryptocurrencies carries significant risk. Fraudulent activity has occurred in the crypto market (not on Webull or Apex Crypto), and with fewer safeguards, you should only use risk capital for crypto trading.
