Can you Transfer Crypto on and off of Webull?


Currently, you cannot transfer crypto on or off of Webull. The only way to get crypto in your Webull account is to buy it through Webull and the only way to move your money out of crypto that you have on Webull is to sell it and transfer out your cash.

However, Webull announced in 2022 that is working on a crypto wallet beta that is “coming soon”. Webull has not specified any further details about when to expect the beta to be open or when they will launch a live crypto wallet. A crypto wallet on Webull would give you the ability to send and receive crypto to and from your Webull account.


What are the Trading Hours and Order Types for Crypto on Webull?


You can trade crypto 23 hours a day, 7 days a week on Webull except for every day between the hours of 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm ET, due to account maintenance and reconciliation. Settlement for crypto trades on Webull is 1-2 business days, depending on the time of day your trade is placed.

You can use market, limit, and stop limit orders to trade crypto on Webull. The time-in-force options for orders are good 'til canceled (GTC), immediate or cancel (IOC), and day. You cannot use margin to trade cryptocurrency or short-sell cryptocurrency on Webull. You can only trade cryptocurrency on Webull with an individual brokerage account, not an IRA.


How to Place a Crypto Trade on Webull


Webull provides a full list of all 40+ cryptocurrencies available for trading on its app and website. On both the app and website, you can view comprehensive charts, news, and a profile for each cryptocurrency. On the website, you can easily filter the full list of cryptocurrencies by the last price, % change from the previous close, and dollar value change from the previous close.

We will walk through the steps on how to place a crypto trade on the Webull app. The first step is to select the “Markets” icon from the main menu. Next, select the “Crypto” tab from the list of markets. If you do not see the “Crypto” tab available in your list of markets, select the hamburger icon in the top right and make sure you have “Crypto” listed under your “Selected” markets.

Once you are on the “Crypto” markets screen, you will see the full list of 40+ cryptocurrencies available for trading on Webull. After you select your desired cryptocurrency to trade, you will be on the overview page for that specific crypto. You then need to select the “Trade” button on this screen.

At this point, you should be on the screen showing a chart of your selected crypto, the bid/ask prices, and an order ticket. You will then fill in your order ticket by completing all the required fields. The fields on the order ticket are buy/sell, order type, stop and limit prices (if applicable), amount in either dollars or shares, and time-in-force.

At the bottom of the order ticket, you will see your account’s crypto-buying power and your estimated order value in USD. You will also see the buy or sell button to click once you are done completing the order fields. After clicking the buy or sell button, you will see a review of your order. If everything looks good, click confirm.

Once you confirm your order, you will see an order confirmation screen that shows all of the details of your order such as the average fill price, the time your order was placed, and the filled quantity.
