Robinhood Legend Cost, Requirements, & Features Review For 2026

Robinhood Legend Review

Key Takeaways:

• Robinhood has a web-based, desktop-style trading platform called Legend.

• Legend has important strengths and weaknesses compared to the broker’s website and mobile app.

• The best charting software at Robinhood will be found on Legend.

If you’re using Robinhood’s website and/or mobile app a lot, you should check out Legend. This browser-based trading platform has some useful tools that won’t be found on the other two platforms.

Overview of Robinhood Legend

For several years, Robinhood only had a mobile app and website. It later added Legend to its software lineup. Legend is a web-based desktop trading platform that runs inside a browser. Robinhood supports Legend on Windows and macOS, with supported browsers including Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.

Launching Robinhood Legend

Thankfully, it’s really easy to get Legend going. Just log into the website and look for the Robinhood Legend button at the top. Click on this, and the platform will open. To switch back to the regular website, use the platform or browser navigation.

Robinhood Legend Highlights

Legend users will find many gadgets and gizmos to amp up their trading. A default layout starts with a chart on the left-hand side and option chains on the right-hand side. These two areas are discrete windows that can be dragged and moved around. Doing so is advisable as Legend has other valuable tools.

Click on the button in the upper-right corner to add a widget. Possibilities include:

  • Recent orders
  • Chart
  • Watchlist
  • Options chain
  • Snapshot
  • Positions
  • Account summary

When you add a widget to the workspace, the older widgets will shrink in size to accommodate the new ones.

Robinhood Legend

If you have a specific focus on trading, Robinhood has custom layouts that may be worth taking a look at. Click on the plus (+) button in the upper left to find these pre-built workspaces. They include:

  • Stock trading
  • Chart spotlight
  • Advanced options
  • Watchlist tracker
  • Options trading
  • Positions analysis
  • Crypto trading

Multiple workspaces can be generated; they will show up at the very top, and it’s really easy to shuffle among them. If you want to delete one, just right-click on the layout’s title at the top. You’ll get a drop-down window that has a delete link and a link to rename the workspace.

Although Legend takes up the full browsing window, it’s possible to expand this space even more. Click on the little expand square in the upper-right corner to get the maximum width and height, which will cover the entire monitor.

Windows within Legend can be synced. In this format, when a ticker symbol is changed in one window, the other windows will automatically update. To turn this feature off, simply click the color in the upper left of a window and change it.

Although there are no pre-installed option strategies on Legend, it is possible to create custom orders with up to 4 legs; simply click on more than one bid or ask number in the chains section to create these multi-leg trades.

Placing a Trade

Speaking of trading, order submission is very straightforward on Legend. For a stock, crypto, ETF, or eligible futures trade, a good place to visit is a chart. At the top, there are Buy and Sell buttons. Click on either one to generate a pop-up window with the platform’s order ticket. Here, we found 5 orders for securities. They are:

  • Market
  • Limit
  • Stop
  • Stop limit
  • Trailing stop

Cryptocurrencies don’t have the last option (trailing). Futures trading is also available on Legend for eligible customers, and supported futures order types include market, limit, and stop orders. Notice that one order type from the website, Recurring Investment, is missing here for both cryptos and securities.

There are GTC and day durations, and eligible securities can be set up for extended hours and even Robinhood’s overnight session.

To skip the trade buttons, you can right-click anywhere in the charting window to pull up the same ticket. Click above the current price to create a buy-stop order and below the current price to create a buy-limit order.

For options, simply click on the bid and ask numbers that show up in the options-chain window.

Charting

Charting on Legend is more advanced than anything Robinhood’s website or mobile app can deliver. On the browser platform, we find 10 plot styles; examples include Scatter and Equivolume. There are more than 50 technical studies, and the title bar has icons for all sorts of drawing tools. During our test drive, we found nearly 30 of them. Examples include:

  • Fibonacci retracements
  • Price range
  • Callout
  • Rectangle
  • Oval

For stocks that have been around a long time, Legend can display more than 30 years of price history. With other windows deleted, it’s possible to display a chart the full width of the PC screen.

Robinhood Legend Fees and Minimums

Robinhood charges no additional platform fee to use Legend, and the platform has no trading or account minimums. Other fees associated with a Robinhood brokerage account can still apply.
