Key Points:
• Morningstar is offering a $50 coupon for Morningstar Investor.
• Morningstar Investor is a paid research subscription with a wide range of investing tools and data.
• A free trial of Morningstar Investor is also available.
If you’re looking for high-quality investment research tools from Morningstar, this could be a good time to sign up for the company’s large collection of market data, ratings, screeners, and analyst research.
Terms on Morningstar’s Special
Enroll in an annual Morningstar Investor subscription rather than the monthly plan, and Morningstar will provide a $50 discount. This brings the annual cost down to $199 instead of the standard $249. That equals about $16.58 per month, although the entire subscription cost must be paid upfront for the year. The regular monthly plan costs $34.95.
This deal is available only to new Morningstar Investor subscribers. It cannot be applied to an existing subscription renewal, and it cannot be stacked with another promotion.
Free Trial of Morningstar Investor
Along with the $50 discount, Morningstar is also offering a trial period for the Investor service. The free trial runs for seven (7) days.
Morningstar Investor Features
Morningstar Investor includes many useful features for both newer investors and more experienced market participants. Some of the main tools include:
- Security screeners with many search filters (more than 200), including Morningstar ratings
- Access to Morningstar’s broad library of stock research reports
- Fund research covering sectors, industries, asset classes, and other categories
- The option to build customized views
- A wide selection of Morningstar rating tools. In addition to star ratings, Morningstar Investor members can view ESG ratings and forward-looking Medalist Ratings, such as Gold, Silver, and Bronze
- Watchlists
- And more...
Morningstar analysts who prepare the firm’s large collection of investment research operate independently and are not tied to other divisions of the company.
Signing Up for Morningstar Investor
If you want to use Morningstar’s special offer, getting started is simple. Just
click on this promotion link and you’ll find the sign-up button on the promotion page, where you can begin the free trial that is included automatically.
During registration, you’ll be asked to enter your name and email address. You’ll also create a user ID and password for the site, which will give you access to Morningstar’s large collection of investment research.
Continue through the online sign-up screens and agree to the required terms. Before the subscription begins, you’ll need to enter a credit or debit card.
Cancelling the Subscription
The first 7 days are free. If you choose not to keep the service after the trial period, you can cancel before the trial ends and avoid paying for the subscription. To cancel, simply send an email (from the email address you used to register) to cancellation@morningstar.com.
You can also cancel by calling Morningstar. Another option is to sign in to your Morningstar account and go to My Account. From the My Account page, select Subscription. On the Subscription page, you’ll find an option to cancel the membership.
A Morningstar Investor subscription renews automatically, so be sure to cancel through one of the methods above when you no longer want to continue using the service.
